Gale Contracts Grand River for e-Commerce Usability Analysis and Study

Grand River announced today that it has been selected by Gale, part of Cengage Learning, to perform a series of usability analyses, reviews and redesigns for Gale's ecommerce site, where customers purchase print books, e-books and renew subscriptions to online resources.
The project encompasses redesigning the user interface and improving workflow to maximize efficiency. Gale contracted Grand River based on its experience in developing robust e-commerce solutions and performing usability reviews that yield better user experiences and higher conversion rates. "Our unique product mix and the needs of different types of customers contribute to a potentially complex shopping and ordering experience," said Mary Claire Krzewinski, Gale's director of eServices. "As we update our e-commerce site, we aim to improve the user experience significantly, drawing on recent developments in user interface design.
