Usability Evaluations

An important step in a project is determining how well an existing site supports the activities of the site customers. Our user experience team applies expert, best-practices, and heuristic evaluation, as well as competitive analysis, web analytics, customer service logs, and user task modeling and analysis to assess what structures and features of a site are designed to work well and what need to be improved.

We strongly encourage that a project includes listening to and observing actual and prospective customers using the website and talking about their experience as they use the site. After many years of designing and building complex e-commerce sites, we have learned that there are times when we don't have all the answers. We've also learned that asking the customers about their website experience is the best way to find out why they are make certain real-time decisions and how they react to a new site design.

Our team uses customer interviews, on-site customer observations, and usability testing in order to gather evidence and insight into the customer's experience.

The valuable results we get from usability evaluation provide the team with concrete information and understanding to use as we design and build the solution, providing us with the foundation for success. The results are user-focused sites that convert and yield profit.
